The Vitre system allows viewing data, and performing actions according to a clever permissions mechanism.
The power of permissions is given automatically according to the entities the user is exposed to.
Expanded page on permissions is here.
Responsible users for entities
Each entity can have multiple responsible users and multiple viewers.
Viewer- Cannot create new entities or edit their details; Can view all of the information on the entity he is responsible for and perform additional actions.
Responsible user- Cannot create new entities or edit their details; Can view all of the information on the entity he is responsible for and perform additional actions. When defining an automatic action to an entity, he will be determined as an automatic responsible user for the action. In case more than one responsible is defined, the system will automatically select one of them. In case no one was defined as responsible, the system will search for the user responsible for the parent entity.
Admin- Admins are the only ones permitted to create new entities and edit their details.
Hierarchical management
Please note that if an employee is defined as responsible for an organizational unit that has child units under it, the employee will be defined as responsible for all of the subordinate units.
For example, if John is defined a responsible user for the location "Los Angeles Factory", all locations under the said factory will also be permitted for him, so there is no need to define every floor, wing or room in the factory.
Another example, if Beth is responsible for all the employees in the marketing wing, we'll define Beth as the responsible user for the unit, and all of the teams under the marketing wing, as well as the employees will also be under Beth's responsibility, so there is no need to define her as responsible separately per employee or unit.
