The Vitre application allows saving a response to a form in case it cannot be sent, or when there is a need to complete the form response later.
You can continue filling out the draft at any stage.
The application automatically saves the response every few seconds to ensure that data is not lost.
When you begin responding to a form, exiting or leaving the application will save the response for later.
How to save a form response:
- Tap the Report button at the bottom menu of the application.
- Select the form you wish to respond to.
- Start filling out the form.
- When one or more answers has been provided, the form will be automatically saved every few seconds.
- If you exit the form without saving, a prompt will ask, "Discard this form?"
Please note that you can't recover a response to a form if the option to discard the form has been chosen. - In case the mobile device is turned off, the application is closed, or a phone call is received, the response to the form will be saved as is (without sending or deleting it).
Recovering a draft:
The system allows recovering drafts that weren't submitted at any stage.
Please note that saving the response is performed immediately inside the device's local storage, and the backed up form is also saved in the data server every few seconds.
How to recover a draft by selecting from a list:
- Tap the Report button at the bottom menu of the application.
- On top of the available forms to respond to, a message will be displayed with the amount of forms that have been started but not completed (drafts).
- Clicking the Drafts button will display all the forms that have been started but not completed.
- Selecting one of the forms will allow to continue the response where it was left.
- You can also cancel the response, which will permanently delete the response.
How to recover a draft by searching for entities:
- Tap the Report button at the bottom menu of the application.
- In the search bar at the top of the screen you can search for employees, equipment or locations.
- If the chosen entity has an uncompleted form response a message will be displayed: "Do you wish to continue with the existing form or start a new one?".
- By clicking "Continue the existing response", you will be able to continue from where it was left.
- You can also cancel the response, which will permanently delete the response.
